Leading Safari Lodge chooses X Flo Energy for hybrid power solution

A lower Zambezi Safari Lodge has concluded a contract with X Flo Energy, for the supply and installation of a 100kw/250Kwh hybrid energy solution for their lodge on the Zambezi River.

The Lodge has been running the lodge with extensive use of their backup generator, given the long periods of loadshedding they experience. The environmental impact as well as the cost of burning so much diesel drove the lodge owners and management to look for cost effective and sustainable solutions.

After looking at a number of options, the Lodge team decided to work with X Flo Energy to install a hybrid power solution that will take the lodge off grid - with the exception of certain areas of the lodge at peak times which may require the generator. After exploring a number of solutions proposed by other solar suppliers, they chose X Flo Energy because of our detailed load analysis, customised solution using industrial spec equipment and our competitive pricing.

The system comprises around 64Kw of solar, 100kw Industrial Spec hybrid Inverter and 250Kwh of high voltage Lithium battery storage, paired with their existing diesel generator

The system will be arriving in two months and will be installed during May of 2025.
